Orientation Program : |
| The Orientation Program is organized for the first semester students in the month of July to moor the yardstick of standardization and rules and regulation of the University on the mind of the parents and students. The distinguished dignitaries are invited to deliver the lecture to the students. |
Foundation Day Celebration: |
On 18 August 2008, the Institute celebrates its “Foundation Day”. The distinguished guests are invited to grace the occasion and to open up new avenues for development. |
Independence Day Celebration: |
The Institute of Law had a privilege to host the Independence Day Ceremony on 15th August. The students had participated in ‘Desh Raga’ contest organized on this day and won 2nd Prize in the University |
Sports Activities: |
The Institute organizes the Sports Events like Basketball, Volleyball, Cricket, Badminton, Chess, Carom, Football, athletics, etc. at the University level. All the Winners and Runners up are awarded with the certificates of participation and mementoes. The students of Institute of Law participate at Annual Sport’s Day Athletics Meet in different events at the University. |
Musical Evening: |
The Institute of Law organizes Musical Evening students participate with great enthusiasm in different musical events like Solo Song, Rock Band, Medley Singing and Group Song. |
Ramzat- RasGarba: |
The students and teachers of the Institute of Law also participate in RAS GARBA – RAMZAT celebrations held at University Level. |
Festoria: |
The Institute of Law celebrates Annual Cultural Festival-FESTORIA. The events included in the Festoria 2010 are Solo Singing, Instrumental, Skit, Mime, Mimicry, One Act Play, Drama, Debate, Poetry Recitation, Band Performance, Solo Dance, Group Dance, T-Shirt and Face Painting. |

Students Welfare: |
There is Board for Students Welfare in the Institute. The composition of the Board is as follows: Dr. Kiran Rai, Asst. Professor, Student welfare Coordinator. Mr. Chaitanya Vyas, Asst. Professor, member of Student Welfare Committee. Mr. Ravi Saxena, Asst. Professor, member of Student Welfare Committee
Representatives: The Board has also formed Carom Club, Table Tennis and Chess Club etc.

A Workshop on Mediation: Theory and Practice |
A workshop on Mediation: Theory and Practice was organised for the students of VI semester of B. A. LL.B (Hons.) programme as a part of the clinical course of ADR on 2nd to 4th April, 2010 and on 16-18 April, 2010. The work shop was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Justice Shri R. A. Mehta, former Judge High Court of Gujarat. The three days workshop for the students was the ost meaningful learning exercises for the student where they were exposed various clinical exercises like Arbitration, Mediation and Negotiation Role plays. The workshop was conducted by Shri Niranjan Bhatt, President AMLED and Senior Advocate High Court of Gujarat, Ms. Sadhana Ramchandran, Advocate High Court of Delhi, Ms. Aparna Vasu, Advocate High Court of Chennai and Mr. J. P. Singh, Senior Counsel, High Court of Delhi.

INTERACTIVE OPEN HOUSE SESSION on CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN LEGAL PROFESSION |
May 22, 2010 (Ahmedabad): Institute of Law, Nirma University organized an Interactive Open House Session for the perspective aspirants of legal education. The session witnessed a great success with the enthusiastic participation of students aspiring for law along with their parents. The Institute facilitated the interaction with the learned and renowned senior advocates of Gujarat namely Mr. Parkash Thakker and Mr. Yatin Oza. Mr. Thakker while sharing his experience about the legal profession in India expressed his concern over the existing vacuum for competent lawyers. He also shared his comparative analysis of the Indian lawyers with foreign lawyers. Continuing the same momentum, Mr. Yatin Oza expressed his concern over the need of lawyers having professional and ethical attributes to serve the society. Referring the great success stories of late Shri Nani Palkewala, Mr. Mukul Rohtagi, Mr. Shanti Bhushuan, he encouraged the younger generation to join the profession. The students were also appraised of the functioning and distinctive feature of the Courses offered by the Institute of law. The presentation also highlighted the new heights being scaled by Nirma University in the field of legal education.
