Prof. Sunil Raiyani is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Institute of Technology, Nirma University. He obtained his Master degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur in 2010 in the area of Structural Engineering.

He served as faculty of Civil Engineering at IIIT Nuzvid nearly 5 years before Joining Nirma University. During his service at IIIT Nuzvid (Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technology) actively engaged in meeting the challenges of building new university into a model for quality Engineering education. He also served as the Central Branch coordinator of Civil Engineering of RGUKT from 2010 to 2014 besides other assignments. He made the perspective plan for the growth of IIIT Nuzvid and also was responsible for bringing some important academic reforms in the undergraduate education at IIIT Nuzvid. He also served as Co-convenor of 1st Boards of studies for Civil Engineering Dept. held at IIIT Hyderabad. He was the responsible for procuring and the establishment of Civil Engineering Dept. labs at Three campus of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technology. During his service at IIIT Nuzvid actively engaged in research as well as Consultancy work for Central Public Work Dept., Govt. of India.
