Dr. Paresh V. Patel obtained M.E. (Structure) in 1993 from Gujarat University and Ph.D. (Structure) in 2006 from The M. S. University of Baroda. He has about four years of professional experience of structural design of industrial buildings, multi storied residential buildings and water retaining structures. He has seventeen years of academic experience of teaching at undergraduate and post graduate level. He has guided 29 major projects at M. Tech. (CASAD). He is presently guiding 3 PhD students. He has published number of papers at National and International conferences and journals. He is involved in structural engineering consultancy projects carried out by the department. He was recipient of ISTE Charutar Vidya Mandal Vallabh Vidyanagar Gujarat Award for the Best Engineering College Teacher in Gujarat State 2008. He carried out research projects funded by Institution of Engineers (India) and Gujarat Council of Science and Technology. He authored a book on “Mechanics of Solids”.
