Industry Institution Partnership Cell was established with financial support from AICTE.
The following major activities of the IIP Cell are envisaged,

Maintenance, coordination and promotion of consultancy services, establishment of proper links, with department, agencies |

Maintain and distribute funds obtained from consultancy services for strengthening of the university / institute / departments. |

Encourage industry to collaborate in industry study tour Programme/ Internship Program, placement of students in industry. |

Assist Industries in obtaining tax incentives from GOI by supporting R&D programs in the institution, promote sponsored and joint R&D projects. |

Conduction of industrial training & industrial visit for the students and faculty. Conduction of industrial exhibitions to highlight research facilities and expertise available with the academic institutions. |

Training of industrial personnel in the technical institutes, exchange of personnel between the industries and institute by way of involving industry personnel in delivering lectures on latest technological growth, evaluation of project work, development of curricula as per industry need and other academic work in institutions. |

Activities under IIP CELL
With the establishment of IIP Cell the institute is gaining awareness’ about state of art practices in the industries. For Curriculum development and updating continuous feedback and guidance from the industry is now surely a possibility. In some of the diversified courses the boundaries of laboratories can be extended to industrial work places. Faculties have come in contact with current industrial practices. The gap between knowledge of the students and industrial practices is getting bridged. UG and PG students are undertaking their projects at or in consultation and / with the support of the industries. Students have already started gaining confidence of solving real industrial problems. Continuing education of faculty is now to a large extent supported by industrial experts.
On the other hand the Industry is in touch with well-qualified and experienced faculty at the Institute. They have started mutually sharing their expertise. Industries have already started to have access to the latest literature available at the institutional library. Some of the equipments are being jointly used. Many industries are iInstitute of Technologyiating and taking help in Product development and diversification.
Small and medium scale industries may not have formal R & D center, which is very much essential in this most competitive age. They are utilizing institutional facility and expertise for this purpose. Industries are also utilizing the services of M.Tech, Ph.D. and other research scholars.
