Prof. V. R. Iyer Head of Department Mechanical M.Tech in Production Engg.

Prof. Iyer has 33 years of experience of teaching at UG level and 10 years at PG level. He has published large number of papers in the area of CAD/CAM, Metal forming, quality Engg. Technical Education etc. He has guided more than 40 dissertations in the area of CAD/CAM.

He was a member of Board of Studies in Mechanical Engineering at North Gujarat University and is a member of Board of Studies in Mechatronic Engineering at Ganpat University. He has been recognized by MHRD Govt. of India as the facilitator for strategic planning and also for DACUM development.

He is Life member of IT, ISTE etc. He has been elected as Executive Committee member of Institution of Engineers, Gujarat Section for Production Engg. Division for 2006-08.

He is heading Mechanical Engg. Department, Institute of Technology, Nirma University since July 2006
