Electrical Engineering programme is equipped with well organized laboratories. The laboratories are designed to cater the requirements of UG and PG programmes. Various laboratories available in electrical department along with major equipments are: Electrical Machines & Drives, High Voltage Engineering Laboratory, Switchgear and Protection, Analog, Digital and Power Electronics, Electrical Measurement and Circuit Theory, Microprocessor and Microcontroller laboratory and Computing Laboratory with modern equipments and experimental set ups.
Electrical Machines & Drives Laboratory
The laboratory is equipped with all basic machines. In addition to this, laboratory has capacity to test induction motor up to 10 HP according to IS: 325.

High Voltage Engineering Laboratory
One of its kinds in the state, a modern state-of-the-art laboratory is designed to provide platform for basic studies and to give boost to research in Insulation studies. It offers testing facilities for the power apparatus upto 11 KV and insulators up to 33 KV as per IS. This laboratory helps students to understand the various aspects of insulation and phenomenon like lightning and surges in the power system.

Switchgear and Protection Laboratory
An ultra modern protection laboratory equipped with all types of GEC, ABB and Easun Reyrolle relays including numerical relays for transformer, generator and motor protection has been developed. This laboratory is useful to the final year students of Electrical Engineering in getting the up to date knowledge of the working of the various types of relays by actual demonstration.

Power Electronics Laboratory
To enable students to understand the power electronics converters and operation of semiconductor devices, the laboratory is equipped with the experimental set-ups and students are exposed to hands on design experiments. The laboratory also enables students to carry out projects very effectively. The laboratory caters the need of experiments for UG and PG programmes.
