Various laboratories available in Computer Engineering Department are,
The department has well equipped computer laboratories with Multiprocessor servers and latest PCs, Networking equipments and devices. The software available includes various operating systems, compilers, simulation and modeling packages and development tools. These software packages and tools are useful for laboratory work as well as for professional development work. The computer facility is open from 8.45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. on all working days and on demand basis, timing is extended. The Hardware & software facilities are as under :

Major Equipments
The department has a total of 375+ computers and 26 servers, 01 Simputer, Sony Play Station 3 with 22” TFT monitor, Apple iMAC Graphic workstation, DK4 Design Suite (Software) & RC -10 Pilot Board, 08 Ink-jet printers, 25 Dot-matrix printers and 03 laser printers. Also the department has 21 Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS). Apart from these major equipments, the department has switches, hubs and routers to provide interconnectivity between various systems.
Computing Facilities
Servers & Computers are spread over 4 different blocks having 8 computer centers with different configurations. All the machines are interconnected through the fibre optic cable network. This ensures that any one can sit in any laboratory and access the relevant information. The University also has 4 Mbps leased line connectivity for Internet purpose.
Software
The department has licensed application and system software. To name a few, application software includes Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visual Studio, Borland C++ Builder and for DOS, COBOL, Microsoft Office, Sybase-Powerbuilder, Microsoft JBuilder, Lex and Yacc for Windows, Prolog, Star Office, Oracle, Macromedia Director 8.0, Adobe Indesign 1.5, Adobe Premier 6.0, Adobe After Effects 5.0, Adobe Web collection, MS Frontpage, Popkin software (System Architecture), Rational Rose, MSDN Professional, MSDN Universal, MSDN AA, Microsoft Publisher, ORACLE 10g, RTLinux Pro 2.2 (Campus Lic) Mcafee Antivirus.
