Top three students (who secure first three ranks according to merit) at B. Tech first year University examinations

Medals by University
Every year, at the Annual Convocation or any other convocation, the following medals will be awarded to the student concerned who is eligible as per Nirma University Criteria.
Bachelor Programmes
i)
One Gold Medal for each Bachelor’s Programme in Technology (B. Tech.) to the student who secures first position.
ii)
One Gold Medal for entire Bachelors’ Programmes taken together will be awarded to a student who secures first position.
iii)
One Gold Medal for the Best Student of the Programme. The criteria for awarding medal for Best Student of the programme in the respective programmes will be as per university regulations.
Masters’ Programmes
i)
One Gold Medal for each Masters’ Programme (M. Tech., MCA) to the student who secures first position.
ii)
One Gold Medal for all the Masters’ Programmes in Technology (M.Tech.) taken together will be awarded to a student who secures first position.
iii)
One Gold Medal for the Best Student of the Programme for all M. Tech. Programmes shall be awarded.
iv)
One Gold Medal for the Best Student of the MCA Programme.
Scholarships
Interest free loan scholarships.
Nirma University offers financial assistance by way of interest on loan as per following details to the needy students on the basis of the merit.
Family Income not exceeding Rs. 2 Lacs/Annum
Assistance of 100% interest on the loan obtained from schedule bank limited
to the amount of tuition fees to 5% students of the intake
Family Income not exceeding Rs. 4 Lacs/Annum
Assistance of 50% interest subsidy on the loan obtained from schedule bank limited to the amount of tuition fees to 5% students of the intake
Other Awards/Scholarship
i)
TCS : TATA Consultancy Services has chosen Institute of Technology, Nirma University as one of the leading colleges where the company shall sponsor ONE Gold Medal to student from computer science branch based on his/her overall performance upto 7th semester during his engineering studies for 3 consecutive years starting from year 2005.
ii)
Company OMRON from Singapore has constituted an award of Rs. 15000/- annually for 3 consecutive years starting from year 2004 for the meritorious student of final year from Instrumentation & Control, Electronics & Communications & Electrical Undergraduate engineering courses.
iii)
L&T Build India Scheme: Applicable for M.Tech programmes [Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical & Civil]. The candidates would be short-listed based on GATE scores/academic performance and related other factors as decided by L&T.
iv)
The selected candidates would then be offered “L&T Build India Scholarship”. Under this scheme, the students will get financial assistance of Rs. 1,50,000/- during second year towards pursuing the M.Tech Programme.
