The  Institute  of  Pharmacy  at  the  Nirma  University has  a  unique  Bachelor's  and Master's  programme  specially  designed  by  highly competent  and  foresighted members.  We  focus  on preparing  students  to  enter  into  a  career  in  pharmacy and function as professionals and responsible citizens in changing  health  care  systems.  Fulfilling  these  functions requires  a  dynamic,  challenging  and  comprehensive curriculum  which  includes  a  foundation  in  variety  of aspects,  which  also  focuses  on  application  and  use  of knowledge in practical settings. Our programme consists of various courses that give solid foundation of pharmaceutical sciences.  The curriculum  has  identified essential competencies in these areas for which practical  industrial  training  /  internship  in  the  industry  /  contract research organizations/ clinical & hospital settings will be provided  to  the  students.  The curriculum also incorporates the components of problem solving, case study (project works) wherever possible. The  institute  provides  excellent  infrastructure  facilities  which  are  the  key  to  success  of  any  organization.  The institute  provides  world  class  classrooms,  library, computer  centre  and  language  laboratories.  The departmental  laboratories  are  well  equipped  with  the latest  equipments  and  the  student's  have  hands  on training  on  sophisticated  instruments  like  HPLC, HPTLC,   FTIR,   RAMAN,   SFC,   and  UV-VIS spectrophotometers  and  pilot  scale  equipments,  like Freeze Drier, Mini  Spray Drier, Microwave  Synthesizer, Fluidized Bed Drier cum Coater, Texture analyzer etc. In addition  the  university  also  provides  facilities  for  the students which includes hostel, canteen, spacious sports grounds, banking and transport. We  at  the  institute  strive  hard  to  create  an  excellent teaching-learning environment and see that the students will  be  able  to  unfold  their  potential  by  closely interacting  with  the  faculty  and  visiting  scientists  from the  pharmaceutical  industries  from  time  to  time.  The institute has strong bonds with the industry.  The students are initiated to participate actively in various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The institute also  focuses  on  personality  development,  confidence building,   industry  exposure  and  enhancing communication  skills. The students are trained well for GATE and other competitive examinations.
