Father of Library Science in India Dr. S. R. Ranganathan’s birthday falls on 12th of August which is celebrated as Librarian's Day all over the country.

We at LRC-IMNU wish to celebrate it as LIBRARY WEEK in our library.

There are surprises every day for the week starting Monday to Saturday.

We are celebrating 'Management Week' this week. For this we have selected users of library for the period 1st June to 13th August, 2017. These are the users with maximum visits in library recorded in the system during the mentioned period.

·       Photos should be inside the Campus

·       A selected team of library professionals on campus will judge the photos

Do you like surprises..? Do you get confused seeing books on shelf – the options available and the confusion of what to read..? Is the book cover art misleading..? We take away the trouble of deciding and send you on a Blind Date with a book..!

We have selected a variety of books from our collection, wrapped them to hide the ‘identity’ of your date till you get it. It may be fiction or a non-fiction. You may choose any wrapped book in our “Blind Date with a Book” display. Books will be on display from 9th Feb to 15th Feb, 2018.

Book Display on Gandhian Literature

This year India celebrating 150th birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, as a part of a celebration we at IMNU Library display books on Gandhian Literature in the Library for 29th September to 5th October, 2018.

Also we are going to organize quizzing game during this Celebration; we put one bowl on circulation counter. Please rush in the library and give only 2 correct answers of the Questions (related to Gandhi) & Win!!!!!!!!
