Institute of Diploma Studies was established in 1997 with a different kind of structure, which carries uniqueness in the Programmes. It’s a Cooperative Diploma Programme catering the needs of awarding diplomas in 7 different disciplines of Engineering after 10+. The durations of normal programmes for Diploma in Chemical, Mechanical, Plastic Engineering is of 4 years, instead of 3 Years and sizable weightage is given to the industrial training. It is cooperative because in all academic decision making process including development of curriculum method of teaching, systems of assessment, etc., the equal participation of experts from industry is involved. The total student strength is about 1,500 students.
