Message from the Head’s Desk

CCE-HeadContinuing Education is a lifelong learning process which meets the variety of needs of Industry, Business and the Community and includes skill training or upgrading of skills and knowledge through competence based education.  Resources available in the form of buildings, laboratories, instruments, capability of faculty members, etc. can be put to use not only for our own students but also for industries, other professionals, other stake holders and for overall to the general public.
Industries are constantly changing. Continuing Education is required for workers to stay current with the latest developments, skills, and new technologies required for their fields.  Overall, Continuing Education is considered a way for professionals to keep abreast of their fields so that they don’t lag behind.
India is expected to be home to a skilled workforce of 500 million by 2022. About 12 million persons are expected to join the workforce every year. This talent pool needs to be adequately skilled. The following sectors are expected to drive the growth of the economy as well as play a significant role in employment.

More important is to focus on advancement of skill and these skills should be catered to emerging economic environment. Also, the centre will aim to identify the availability of jobs and corresponding need of skilled man power. Such skilled development program will be offered to jobless youth.
With these objectives, the university has established the Centre of Continuing Education (CCE). Number of programs have been identified and will be conducted looking to the need of all stake holders.
The centre will strive to fulfill the above requirements by offering various need based programs.
