Institute of Management, Nirma University has organised an event – Aarohan 2017. It is believed that in the midst of chaos, learning takes place. The world today is in a state of chaos and it is the youth which has an ample number of opportunities to learn and achieve greatness. Aarohan is one such Conclave to give the students an insight into reality was organised by the BBA Co-curricular committee 'AdityaVat' on December 21-22, 2017 on the theme of 'VUCA- Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity' which was introduced by Prof. Sapna Parashar, the Chairperson.

The first speaker for this conclave was Mr. Swarup Pandya, Associate start-up society, CIIE. The session was a dialogue conversation and involved both the speaker and the students where the students asked various questions to Mr. Pandya about the changes taking place in the business environment and how various business enterprises can succeed by making effective use of the government strategies like 'Start-up India' and 'Make in India' mission.

The second session saw the CEO of Molkem Ltd. Mr. Preet Shah sharing his views and experiences on VUCA. Mr. Sanjay Chakraborty, founder and CEO of EssKsse graced the third session on the first day. He emphasised on the fact through videos and presentations that we're who we are and how the management and marketing have evolved and the fact that the consumers are like god for the business firms. Moreover he showed the students the sharp contrast between male and female on how they react to different market situations.

Institute of Management, Nirma University organised One-Day Symposium on December 19, 2017 with a view to address the questions and doubts that arise when they think of pursuing their career in MBA. The symposium would also focus on perks that the course offers to its students and the reason why they should do this course. The speakers were Shri Arks Srinivas, Shri R Balasunder and Shri Varun Gupta. The event was coordinated by Shri Sameer Pingle and it was graced by the presence of Dr Mallikarjun M, Director - IMNU.

Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University celebrated Gujarat State Pharmacy Council (GSPC) sponsored National Pharmacy Week Celebration from December 18-22, 2017. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Jolly Parikh, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmaceutics, A.R. College of Pharmacy, Vallabh Vidyanagar and Nominee, GSPC on December 18, 2017. She highlighted various means of creating awareness of pharmacy profession and role of pharmacist in healthcare system in her address. Shri MontuKumar Patel, President, GSPC informed the activities carried out by GSPC for creating public awareness in relation to pharmacy profession.  Dr.Tejal Mehta, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmaceutics, Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University gave introductory remark highlighting importance of Pharmacy profession in healthcare along with significance of National Pharmacy Week. The function ended with vote of Thanks by Dr.Renuka Mishra. The National Pharmacy week celebration will include events like Extempore, Elocution, Expert lecture, Health check-up and awareness camp.

Nirma University organised IMMUNOCON - 2017 from 14 - 16 December 2017 with the theme - Immunology of Infectious Diseases where around 300 participants registered. The conference was organized with an intention to provide a platform to researchers in the field of immunology to deliberate and exchange the scientific ideas, and develop in-depth understanding on the issues related to innate and adaptive immunity, drug development and vaccination. This conference provided an exciting opportunity for delegates to network and share knowledge in their research domains. The program included plenary sessions, panel discussions, oral and poster presentations, and socialisations. The event  brought the eminent Immunologists and enthusiastic researchers on the same page to discuss and explore immune regulation of various diseases to develop a new strategy for treatment. Experts like Dr. G P Talwar, Dr. N K Ganguly and Dr. D N Rao graced the event with their presence.

Nirma University team participated in the West Zone Inter University Kho-Kho (Women) Tournament 2017-18 held from 30th November to 1st December 2017 at Gujarat Vidyapith, Sadra, TA Dist. Gandhinagar.
Shri Bhavesh Parekh, Chief Coordinator, Students' Welfare Activities and Ms. Drashti Patel, Lab. Asst., Institute of Pharmacy were the Team Manager of our university team.
In this tournament, the first match was held on November 30, 2017 with Goa University, Goa.  The second match was held on December 1, 2017 with Gondwana University, Gadchiroli. In both of the matches our team was qualified. The third match on December 1, 2017 was with P. D. Upadhyay Shekhawati University, Sikar, in which our team did not qualify. Students from various institutes of our University participated in this tournament.
