Ms. Madhuri Parikh

Mrs. Madhuri
Parikh is an Asst. Professor in LawShe did her
M.A. with English Literature. She has done her
LL.M. with specialization in Environmental Law
from School of Law, Gujarat University. She is
presently pursuing her Ph.D. in the area of
Environmental Jurisprudence in India with
special role of the Indian judiciary. Her areas
of interest are Environmental Law and Public
Interest Lawyering.
She
has presented a joint paper with Mrs. Parna
Mukherjee, Lecturer Institute of Law, Nirma
University on the topic ‘Consumerism in India: a
Critical Analysis’ in 12th International Consumer
Law Conference organized by NALSAR, Hyderabad, from
25 to 27 February 2008. The same paper was later
published as an article in Gujarat Law Reporter,
Vol. 2009 (3), 31st October.
She
has also presented a paper on ‘Concern for Climate
Change and Sustainable Development: A Legal
Perspective’ in the International Conference on
Climate Change and Sustainable Management of Natural
Resources, organized by Institute of Allied Sciences
and Computer Application (IASCA), ITM , Universe,
Gwalior, M.P, from 10 to 12 November 2009.
At
present she teaches Law of Tort, Family Law and
Legal & Constitutional History of India. She is a
faculty coordinator of Legal Aid Clinic, Institute
of Law.
