About Us Center for Law and Governance Centre for Law and Governance (CLG) aims to study, analyze, and develop an approach towards those areas in law which are concerned with the governance and administration of the country. Administrative law arises from the activities of government and its administrative agencies. As a body of law, it deals with the decision-making of administrative units of government that are part of a state regulatory scheme. It’s more of a multidisciplinary approach rather than just a research, to study the different aspects of the effective governance, various government institutions, their functioning and several other issues related to them. Studying the relationship between the law and the administration is an ever-growing doctrinal sphere due to which it lays down a wide scope for the development of a contemporary insight. As a part of the center’s curriculum, various activities are being undertaken to create awareness on the area of law as well as to generate a sense of inquisitiveness on present day phase of the country’s administrative policies, public laws and accountability of the authorities. Such activities include empirical research by the members, seminar presentations, guest lectures, panel discussions, a regular news-letter activity, interviews and an online E-Journal. About SLR The Student Law Review is an initiative of the Students of Centre for Law and Governance, Institute of Law, Nirma University. The SLR, which is a bi-monthly journal, aims to encapsulate a plethora of legal writings like articles, news, comments, interviews, judgments etc. The works illustrated are an outcome of the in-depth look of the academicians and students over a wide range of subjects. It hosts versatile expressions and comprehensive flow of thoughts put forward by the people from the legal fraternity. It aims to contribute innovation and dynamism to the course of law with time. The Student Law Review was launched on the 8th of August, 2009 by the hands of Mr. Harish Salve, Sr.Advocate, Supreme Court of India. |
