Ms. Dhara Chotai is Assistant Professor in
English. She has obtained her M.A. Degree with
First Class from
Saurashtra University, Rajkot. She has also been
awarded two Gold Medals and a Prize for securing
the highest number of marks in M.A. She is UGC
NET qualified. She has completed DIPLOME D
ETUDES EN LANGUE FRANCAISE DELF A1 (NIVEAU A1)
FIRST LEVEL course in French Language from
Alliance Francaise, Ahmedabad in February 2008
and CCC (Certificate in Computing Concept) from
Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University in April
2007.
She was a Project Fellow for two years in the
UGC SAP/DRS Programme on “The 19th Century
Indian Renaissance Literature with Special
Reference to Gujarati, Hindi & English” in
Department of English & Comparative Literary
Studies, Saurashtra University, Rajkot. Prior to
that, she was with
Shri H. N. Shukla College of IT & Management for
one year.
Her areas of interest
are: Comparative Literature, Translation
Studies, Biographical Studies, Literary
Criticism and Theory 19th Century Indian
Renaissance Literature, English Literature :
Poetry, Elizabethan Literature : Shakespearean
Drama, Indian Poetics
At present she is working on the 19th Century
Gujarati and Indian English Biography. She has
also participated in a number of National
Seminars and National Translation Workshops. |
