Idea-3 : Speaking hands for Robots

Most of us would have seen industrial robotic manipulators in news, movies and automotive & manufacturing plants performing various manufacturing tasks like pick-and-place, arc-welding, assembling, cutting etc. Mostly, these robotic arm movements are guided by computer-programs or human-operators through keyboard. In this idea-project, Nirma University students have successfully demonstrated the concept of guiding robotic manipulators without contact through human hand and finger gestures. This work can be taken further across many interesting applications across various fields like industry, arts and healthcare.
