A team of students from the Departments of Mechanical, Electrical and Chemical Engineering participated in the all-terrain vehicle (ATV) SAE Baja competition at Pithampur, Indore during 19-22 February 2014. More than 100 teams across the country including IITs, NITs and all other reputed Universities participated in the competition. The BAJA SAE tasked the students to design, fabricate and validate a single seater four–wheeled off-road vehicle to take part in series of events that test the vehicle for the Sound Engineering practices that have gone into it, the agility of the vehicle in terms of gradability, speed, acceleration and maneuverability characteristics and finally its ability to endure that back breaking durability test. The Go Green theme was also the part of competition in-order to judge the innovation and effective ways to inhibit the pollutant emission from the vehicles.
Our team STALLIONS has been participating for last three years and won following prizesin this event this year.
GO GREEN Award :1st prize worth INR 2,00,000.
Raftar Award for Acceleration and Hill Climb: INR 1,00,000.
