National Ranking was announced on 3rd April, 2018. As per NIRF INDIA Ranking 2018, Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University improved its score (51.64) compared to score in NIRF India Ranking 2017 (47.57)

Dr. Shital Butani, Associate Professor, Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, received Major Research Project worth Rs. 20,78,250/- in collaboration with Dr. Akshay Vaid, Facilitation Centre for Industrial Plasma Technologies, IPR on project entitled “Exploring non-equilibrium atmospheric plasma for effective sterilization including biological safety aspects” from Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS), Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. Dr. Priti Mehta and Dr. Snehal Patel are co-investigators

Dr. Shital Panchal (Assistant professor, Department of Pharmacology, Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University) received Inter-disciplinary Research Project entitled "Epidemiology of Anemia in Pre-school Tribal Children of Eastern Gujarat with Reference to Etiology, Pathophysiology and Nutritional Impact" worth of Rs 18,60,610 /- for one year  from Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi. 

Dr Sarat Dalai (Director, Institute of Science), Ar. Sharad Panchal (Institute of Architecture and Planning), Dr. Charmy Kothari (Institute of Pharmacy). Dr. Vijay Kothari (Institute of Science), Dr. Umang Mishra (Dept. of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of Gujarat, Gandhinagar) are Co-investigators for the project. 

This is first government funded interdisciplinary research project of Nirma University which is in collaboration with Health Department of Govt. of Gujarat.

Prof. Priti Mehta (Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis, Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University) received Inter-disciplinary Research Project entitled 'Evaluation of Radioprotective potential of Medicinally important Indian Bamboo Plants in Cancer' worth of Rs 42,12,250 from Ministry of AYUSH, New Delhi. 
Dr Sonal Bakshi (Institute of Science) and Dr Snehal Patel (Institute of Pharmacy) are Co-investigators of the project. 
This is first government funded interdisciplinary research project of Nirma University.

The Collaborative Research Project with Space Applications Centre (SAC) - Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) with Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University; is received by Prof. Priti J. Mehta (Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis) as Principal Investigator along with Dr. Sanjeev R. Acharya & Dr. Nasreen Munshi (as Co-Principal Investigators) worth Rs. 16 Lacs for Research Project entitled "Determination of specific absorption coefficient for the dominant macro algal species of Indian coastal water - A step towards developing biomarkers and accessory pigments algorithm".

Last date for Application for the Post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) is 31st January, 2017

Placement cell helps students in getting right job where a student can explore his potential and build his career. The emphasis of placement cell is not giving ANY job, but to facilitate in getting a good quality job profile in reputed organization. 

?Placement for batch passing in june 2016 has started as early as october 2015 and as of 1st March 2016? almost half of the M.Pharm students have been placed. Reputed companies like Torrent, Zydus, Alembic, Nestle etc have conducted their selection process. We are continuously trying that before students leave campus in june 2016, most of them should have a job offer in their hand from reputed organizations.

Company that are likely to visit further include, Sun Pharma, Astrazeneca, Novo Nordisk, Abbott Labs, Alkem  etc.

Patel Trust under the Patronage of Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India; and sponsored by Troikaa Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
