Drug Discovery and Development is an expensive process due to the high R&D costs and extensive clinical testing. Huge investments in terms of time & money are involved in the launch of New Chemical Entity (NCE) in the market. New drug molecules are developed through a series of controlled trials which assess the safety and efficacy of each new medicine by applying high scientific standards. One way to find promising drug candidates is to investigate how the target protein interacts with effective drugs. In-silico docking and computational methods are helping to reduce cost and time of drug discovery. Computational methods can be used to generate hypotheses about desirable chemical properties when designing the drug and they can be used to refine, safe and modify drug candidates.

The purpose of the seminar is to acquaint the delegates from academia as well as from industry about the trends & rational techniques undertaken by the leading National Institutes & Industries for the discovery of NCEs. Poster presentation give unique opportunity to researchers to interact with eminent persons working in the field.
