The Public Lecture by Dr. Bharat B. Aggarwal (Founding Director, Anti-inflammation Research Institute, San Diego, California, USA; & Former Professor, Cancer Medicine and Immunology, The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, USA) on "Targeting Inflammatory Pathways by Agents Designed by Mother Nature for Prevention and Treatment of Chronic Diseases" on Wednesday, 3rd February 2016, at 3.00 PM.

CADD Software Workshop (CCE Event)

Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry is organizing One Day Workshop on Computer Aided Drug Design (CADD) Software on 17th February, 2018 under the Banner of CCE, NU.

The aim of the workshop is to disseminate knowledge about this immensely useful discipline, which accelerates the design of new leads for the life threatening diseases like Cancer,
AIDs, Tuberculosis, Leishmania etc.

The workshop introduces technology through the lectures delivered by experts

The Workshop will also include demonstration on some important computer software for drug design. Attending the workshop will be of great help to budding scientists from various fields as it covers how to use different software of drug design.

 

Workshop on Analytical Techniques for Herbal Drug Research

Department of Pharmacognosy, Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University is organizing One Day workshop on "Application of Analytical Techniques for Herbal Drugs Research" on 6th January, 2018 (Saturday). Click here for Brochure.

The main objectives of this workshop is to provide a forum for the discussion of innovative scientific knowledge on aspects of instrumentation techniques and its application in herbal drug research, which facilitate the exchange of knowledge and ideas in the application of sophisticated analytical instruments in herbal drug research. This workshop also aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of herbal drug research.

The public lecture is being delivered by one of the most sought after writer in Hindi and Gujarati Dr. Raghuveer Chaudhari. He is known for his literary skills and would be delivering a short lecture on story writing skills in addition to the interaction after the lecture. Dr. Raghuveer Chaudhari is a novelist, poet and critic and a prominent figure on the contemporary Gujarati literary. He is the recipient of the 51st Jnanpith Award, the highest award in literature conferred by Bharatiya Jnanpith to an author for their "outstanding contribution towards literature". He is one of the 4 authors in Gujarati who has been conferred upon this award till date.
