Performance Levels:
The Performance level of the student in any course will be adjudged in terms of the letter grades, and grade points. The below table provides significance of letter grades alongwith its equivalent grade points.

Interpretation of Grade:
a) The Grade C+ is the minimum for passing.
b) Grade FF (Fail)

i) If this grade is given because of NT (Term not granted), the student will have to seek RS (Repeat Study) registration for repeat study of the course.
ii) If the grade “FF” (Fail) is given due to failure in the final admissible attempt in SEE (Semester End Examination), the student will have to seek RS Registration for repeat study.

Criteria for Successful Completion of Semester:
For a successful completion of a semester, a student is required to:

a) Pass all courses in the semester with at least satisfactory grade of “C+” and above.
b) Obtain a minimum Semester Grade Point Average of 6.00.

Promotion to the  Subsequent Semester:
A student is permitted to pursue the subsequent semester even if he/she does not complete a particular semester successfully. In such a case, the student is permitted to move to the subsequent semester subject to the condition that he/she should not have course grade deficiency for not more than 3 courses including the previous semesters except Summer Internships and Enrichment Courses.

Failure in Promotion:

If a student fails to meet the requirements of promotion, he/she will not be allowed to pursue the subsequent semesters unless he/she meets with the conditions as Ex-student.
