ARCASIA 2017 Was Done in jaipur 21-25 May 2017.One of the key feature of ARCASIA is the ARCASIA Forum which is a major regional forum held every two years that take the form of a large international forum for fostering intellectual exchange and strategic discussion on regional challenges, initiatives and development amongst hundreds of architects.

Institute of Architecture, Nirma University celebrated World Architecture Day on 5th October 2015 in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Architects, Ahmedabad Center. 

Greg Truen (saota arrcc, cape town), Kevin Low (small projects, malaysia) and Manit Rastogi (morphogenesis, new delhi) were the speakers at the public lecture organised for event.

Students of IA-NU attended a three-day residential workshop at the Shaktiyoga Ashram near Lonavala between February 15th-18th 2015. Organized by well-known Indian classical Dancer, Mandakini Trivedi, It included lecture-demonstrations on concepts of Language of Indian Dance, Ravindra Smriti, Temple in the Ear, Aesthetics and Space, Nature and Architecture etc. Among other invited artists and professionals were Educationist and Bharatnatayam Dancer- Vandana Alase Hazra, Poet and Hindustani Khayal singer Pandit Anand Thakore and environmentalist Prashant Mahajan and Sudha Iyer.  Every morning started with meditation and yoga session. The environment of the ashram, amidst nature and the hills, away form distractions, ensured a highly energizing immersive learning experience. The accommodation was simple and students enjoyed this as much as the excellent food. Last night at Ashram culminated with an excellent music and dance performances celebrating Mahotsav of Shivratri.

Students of First Year Batch- Architecture were taken for the Heritage walk around the old city - Ahmedabad on the morning on August 7, 2014 starting from Swaminaryan Temple, Kalupur to Bhadra Fort.

The new batch of architeture students were divided into four groups for the perception study on August 8-9,2014 at different locations in Ahmedabad- Gandhi Ashram, Indian Institute of Managment IIM, Bhadra Fort Square and Adlaj vav where they were accompanied by faculty members and later presented their work on site observation. Prime objective of the tour was to perceive the space-place by spending time over there and then represent it through various forms of expression.

Founded in 2014 and led by Prof. Utpal Sharma, the Institute of architecture hosted its Inaugural on 1st August 2014. Padmashri Dr Karsanbhai Patel, President NU presided over the function along with chief guest- eminent architect and educationist, Padmashri Dr B V Doshi and Prof Uday Gadkari, president Council of Architecture.
