Hult Prize Competition

Centre for entrepreneurship had organized the Hult Prize competition (competition on social innovation and entrepreneurship) on campus on 16th November 2017.It is the world's largest student competition for social good. The Hult Prize was established in 2010 by Bertil Hult, founded by Ahmad Ashkar (CEO) is the annual, year-long competition that crowd-sources ideas from college students after challenging them to solve a pressing social issue around topics such as food security, water access, energy, and education.

The Prize is a partnership between Hult International Business School, United Nations and, the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI). The qualifying teams from the campuses pan world will go to the regional finals conducted in Boston, San Francisco, London, Dubai, and Shanghai, each spring. The winning student team of the Hult Prize is awarded USD1 million in seed capital to launch their idea as a social enterprise. The final event of pitching was marked by the 12 wonderful teams who had some thought-provoking ideas on taking their steps towards changing the world.

The jury consisted of four-panel members coming from diverse backgrounds. Their entrepreneurial careers not only mark their excellence in the field of their work but also carry the spirit of social entrepreneurship in them.The panel included Mr Dhruv Gupta, the Thinktank of UNWAY Research; Ms Shriya Damani, Sustainable Business Network, UN ESCAP and the Co-founder of Skyquest Technology Group; Mrs Rashmika Shah, the ideator of this event, co-head of the Entrepreneurship Cell; Mrs Pooja Somaiya, co-founder DialogueMakers, a recognized woman in the top 100 Women entrepreneurs Pan India for 2016 and nominated as 100 Inspirational women Leaders by Rising Star Awards 2016.

Winner: The team which won the Hult@Nirma and qualified for the regional finals was Arrow UAVs, the team is nominated for the next round and the next round is hosted at Dubai.
